Every single day I see news about the tarnished world we live in. And I just think, "One day Mother Nature will get back at us for this... You just wait and see!" Frankly I sometimes think humans are no longer worth sympathy from nature. We are evil.
And I wrote the following three poems (and one of them is a cinquain) about the earth and us humans.
And slowly fading away
The Earth is dying, but we are too blind
To see it anyway.
Nature calls out and the universe pleads
But we’re deaf to all of these
The consequences we face today
Still don’t do anything.
We think we rule the planet
We cruel selfish beings
We trespass into space
We self-centered human beings.
At times we hear of calamities
But no one bothers at all
When there is no more time we’ll realize
Our ignorance caused our fall.
We hunt, we exploit, and we trouble the free
Even as they disappear
When Mother Nature resorts to hiding them away
We still can’t let them be.
We think we are superior
But to tell the truth
We are just disgusting, mean and pitying
Horrible human beings.
Beautiful green,
Chirpy, lively, giving,
Incredible joy around Earth,
Heaven
We are the men
Cutting and trashing
Spreading red to no end.
“Where will we go?”
We ask our selfish selves
Stealing treasures of nature
To put on our shelves.
“Where will they go?”
That’s the question to be asked
“What will it be like
After time has passed?”
Years will keep passing
Mother Nature keeps crying
Should we continue our doings
She must resort to punishing.
Already our cousins have gone ‘extinct’
Hidden away by our Mother
For years to come and years to go
We shall not ever see each other.
We waste because we have enough to waste
What will happen, then, when it’s all gone?
Sorrow and regrets are worthless, heed all
